About VIRTUAL JFK:
Opening in the wake of the current US presidential campaign, the film addresses President John F. Kennedy's decision-making under pressure to go to war. "The 800-pound gorilla in the room is, of course, George W. Bush and his war in Iraq." VIRTUAL JFK is "a prime example of the power of the documentary to expose truths and to enhance legends at one and the same time," according to Toronto Star critic Peter Howell. The film is directed by Visiting Fellow Koji Masutani (Brown '05) and produced by Professor James G. Blight, Adjunct Professor Janet M. Lang, University of Toronto Professor David A. Welch, and Peter O. Almond, producer of "Thirteen Days", a film on the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The Picture House

Several years ago a group of concerned citizens in lower Westchester organized to save the 1920s Pelham Picture House, now listed on the NY State Register of Historic Places, from the wrecking ball. The Picture House, recently restored and renovated, is now an independent film and education center. The Picture House entertains audiences with great movies – indies, foreign films, classics, shorts, animated films and documentaries from around the world. By inviting, actors, directors, producers, screen writers, and film critics to discuss their work, we bring the back lot to our front door.
